Activity for eservices (www.mlaw.gov.sg) on co-funded.comhttps://www.co-funded.com/Activity for on co-funded.comen-usCopyright (C) 2013 co-funded.com New Suggestion for eservices (www.mlaw.gov.sg) : Free Searches for Companies that do not have any Insolvency Orders against them<p>Suggestion:&nbsp; Searches for companies that do not have any insolvency orders against them should be free. &nbsp;</p><p>Currently, consumers are advised at the Small Claims Tribunal webpage to ascertain if an errant retailer is insolvent, and are directed to MinLaw&#39;s website.&nbsp; At MinLaw&#39;s Corporate Insolvency eservice Step 2, when we enter the ACRA UEN of the errant retailer, the results show &quot;Your search returns 1 result&quot;.&nbsp; I (and am sure many in the public) will assume that this means the company has 1 record of insolvency orders against it.&nbsp; But all the search result means is that it found 1 company in the ACRA database with the same UEN.&nbsp; And when the consumer pays $6 for the report, I get a one line &quot;There is no record of winding up order for the above&quot;.</p><p>We should not have to pay $6 to get a one-liner search result that is automated?&nbsp; This just increases the costs of doing business, and costs for consumers wanting to make claims against errant retailers.&nbsp; I can understand a charge of $6 if there is an insolvency report to be generated, but $6 for a one-line automated search result is exhorbitant.</p><p>I urge the government to make it free when search results show no insolvency orders, and just display these results to the searching public.&nbsp; If there are insolvency orders, MinLaw can charge a report generation fee for the insolvency report.</p>https://www.co-funded.com/www.mlaw.gov.sg/eservices/s/Free-Searches-for-Companies-that-do-not-have-any-Insolvency-Orders-against-themMon, 09 Feb 2015 23:50:44 -0500 ?>
