It would be great if we could set up newsfeed filters to be active on specified date ranges. It would also be good to have pre-selected keywords for common holidays.

For example, if Mothers day is hard for you, you could setup a pre-selected filter to avoid keywords associated with that day, for that day and the two days before and after.
https://www.co-funded.com/facebook.com/s/Add-filtering-to-avoid-triggers-from-the-newsfeed-on-sensitive-daysMon, 22 Jun 2015 18:49:37 -0400 New Suggestion for facebook.com : Lock comments on Post
When i post an update, i would like for there to be an option to lock comments.
https://www.co-funded.com/facebook.com/s/Lock-comments-on-PostTue, 24 Feb 2015 15:23:47 -0500 New Suggestion for facebook.com : Add a "Fake" or "Hoax" Button when an article is posted
I see so many fake/hoax/misinformation or satire being mistaken for real articles on fb. When I see them, I post the snopes or equivalent debunking page and discover that the people posting simply didn't realise.

If there was a button I could press to indicate an article as such (and perhaps a category (Fake/Hoax/Misinformation/Satire) and the option to provide a link to an article showing it as such e.g. on snopes), the data could be used so that when someone tries to post the same article on their wall, a message pops up saying "A number of users have said that this article may be [Fake/Hoax etc]. More details can be found at [link]. Do you still wish to post this article?"

Note that this should only appear when someone posts a link to an article, not when they just post some text.
https://www.co-funded.com/facebook.com/s/Add-a-Fake-or-Hoax-Button-when-an-article-is-postedTue, 27 Jan 2015 19:51:54 -0500 New Suggestion for facebook.com : Require approval to be added to groups
I wish that people couldn't just add me to groups. I would rather be invited and have the option to accept or decline that invitation, or choose to join myself.
https://www.co-funded.com/facebook.com/s/Require-approval-to-be-added-to-groupsTue, 27 Jan 2015 19:50:41 -0500 New Suggestion for facebook.com : Add A "Sympathize" Button
Many people have asked for a dislike button, but it can be easily abused. A sympathize button is not the opposite of like, but it's when you want to indicate your sympathy for the situation.

For example, when someone's status changed to say that their wallet got stolen, people wanted a dislike button so that they could express their disapproval of the situation. A sympathize button would have the same effect here.

Similarly if someone said they were heartbroken, this would work, or if someone reported that they had an accident and hurt themselves. It's weird to 'like' it and you want to express yourself, but not make a comment sometimes.

If, on the other hand, someone posted a status saying "[some person] is awesome", it wouldn't be healthy to offer a dislike button, but a sympathize button would be fine as it wouldn't apply to the motive for clicking dislike.
https://www.co-funded.com/facebook.com/s/Add-A-Sympathize-ButtonTue, 27 Jan 2015 19:49:48 -0500 New Suggestion for facebook.com : Add a cancel option for five seconds before updating the newsfeed
One of the most frustrating things about facebook is that I will be in the middle of reading some post and I will get a newsfeed update that pushes it offscreen. Sometimes I can't even find it again afterwards, particularly if it's what was on screen when I last shutdown and I'm reading it while I wait to get internet connection.

I would like a notification for at least 5 seconds (perhaps configurable?) before an update arrives, which allows me to cancel it (and further) updates, or perhaps postpone for a couple of minutes, so that I don't get interrupted.
https://www.co-funded.com/facebook.com/s/Add-a-cancel-option-for-five-seconds-before-updating-the-newsfeedTue, 27 Jan 2015 19:49:00 -0500 New Suggestion for facebook.com : Allow Tagging by City
I would like to be able to tag a city in a post, which then sends a notification to any of my friends who have said that they are living in that city, in a similar way that I can tag names, so if I put @new orleans, then all of my new orleans friends will get a notification about the post.

I know I can do it with lists, but then I have to maintain them.
https://www.co-funded.com/facebook.com/s/Allow-Tagging-by-CityTue, 27 Jan 2015 19:47:47 -0500 ?>
